What is the difference between DSM and DSD models?
The DSM thermostat communicates with the internet via a smartbox. This solution is recommended above all if several heating devices are operated in the house or if an entire apartment or house is to be heated. The smartbox ensures a long range and a stable connection to the individual heating devices.
For one or two heating devices, the DSD thermostat is usually the simpler solution. It connects directly to the WLAN router and does not require an additional smartbox. However, the range is shorter than with a DSM thermostat in conjunction with a smartbox.
